Rabbi Simon is a graduate of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. He has served a number of congregations, including Temple Emanu-El in Sarasota. He is the Chairman of the Humanity Working to End Genocide committee and is Vice President of the Sarasota Ministerial Association. He is the author of three books: Atlantic City, Winners and Losers, a novel; Back From the Abyss: Thoughts About Life and Death; and Memories So Many, So Vital, books of poetry.
