Tom Tryon

tryon photoTom Tryon is opinion editor of the Herald-Tribune. He is responsible for editorials, letters to the editor and op-ed columns. Tryon joined the Herald-Tribune in 1981 as a police-beat reporter and became head of the editorial department in 1998. A Florida native, he graduated from Palmetto High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He and Yvonne, his wife of 26 years, are proud parents and grandparents.
