Here To Serve You

The stages are set. The costumes are made. The talent is warming up in the wings.

But our audiences’ theatre-going experience wouldn’t be complete without a little help from the people behind FST’s Green Room Cafe & Bar, who are just as eager as our artists and administrative staff to welcome you back to the theatre.

“What is so special about FST’s Green Room is that you get so many people from different places, each with different stories to tell – all in the same space for a meal,” said Tom Curry, FST’s Restaurant Manager. “And they are all there because they share this common interest. To me, our diners help create the exciting atmosphere surrounding the experience of going to the theatre.”

Curry, who has been with FST for the past 20 years, is thrilled to serve FST audiences again in the theatre’s Green Room Cafe & Bar. Since FST’s restaurants have been closed, Curry has been helping support the Box Office, where he has been able to continue to connect with FST fans, even if it happens over the telephone.

“Being in the Box Office, I’ve heard first-hand, again and again, just how much FST means to our patrons and how much they miss the theatre,” said Curry. “And we’ve missed them too! So I feel really good about the opportunity to serve our loyal audiences again.”

With both Vintage POP! and Three Pianos playing in our larger Mainstage theatres, fans of the Cabaret can still get the full “Cabaret experience” this spring. Attendees will be invited to dine ahead of time either indoors or outdoors at FST’s Green Room in the Hegner Theatre Wing.

And you can enjoy the same menu. Steve Swan, our long-time chef, returns to the theatre to cook up more of the popular dishes you love, including lobster bisque, lemon grass chicken pot stickers, crab cakes, lasagna, FST’s Cobb salad, fish and chips, and more.

Behind the bar, FST’s long-time bartender, Taylor Cummings, is back to serve you – whether you’re in the mood for the ultimate chocolate martini, a Moscow mule, a pomegranate cosmo, or for fans of the tried and true, you can still enjoy our selection of beer and wine.

Audiences will notice some changes when they return to dine with us this spring. All tables will be socially-distanced, and increased cleaning procedures will be in place.

“While some restaurants have started to relax their social-distancing policies, you won’t see that here at FST.” said Curry. “We’ll still be upholding all of the health and safety procedures we first put in place this past summer because we know that matters to our audience and our audience matters to us.”
