FST Improv returns, reviving old favorites and expanding into new forms.

The season kicks off with audience favorite Out of Bounds, a competitive improv show where teams face off in a gut-busting battle.

“We’re doing things a little differently this year,” says Will Luera, FST’s Director of Improv. “We’re forming a total of eight distinct teams. Every Saturday night, the audience decides which of the featured competing teams will win the evening’s coveted ‘Comedy Crown.’ The best of the best will go head-to-head in the season finale ‘Battle of the Wits’ to determine which team will take the Comedy Throne.”

This season we’re also introducing a brand new show—Last Laugh. Debuting November 22, Last Laugh gets the audience in on the action, as the troupe builds an entire show based on real-time interviews with audience members.

“We’re trying to create more variety in our shows,” Luera explains. “You’ll start to see some sketch comedy and storytelling, as well.”

Special holiday shows are serving up even more fun and festive comedy. When X Meets Y: Home for the Holidays, beginning Friday, December 20, challenges the cast to weave an original holiday love story and musical on the spot. Not far behind, Resolution Rewind, a year-end celebration, features the greatest games and sketches from throughout 2019. Be ready to shout out your favorites and join us for a champagne toast to ring in the New Year.
